About Gonzalo

Where are you from, and how long have you been a barber?

I’m from Cordoba, Argentina—the homeland of Messi, Asado, and Fernet with Coke. I’ve been a barber for around two years 🫡

What made you choose barbering as a career?

I thought it was a cool profession. I love how barbers express their style and creativity through haircuts. Plus, barbering allows me to work anywhere in the world 🌍

Who or what inspires your work behind the chair?

A good friend of mine was a big inspiration and helped me at the beginning. Artists like Charles Gray and Gori Barber continue to influence my craft today.

If you weren’t a barber, what do you think you’d be doing?

I’d probably be pursuing a career as a tattoo artist.

Personal Interests

What are your hobbies outside of barbering?

I’m a nerd who wants to look cool! I love video games, movies, TV series, and Japanese culture.

What music do you love to listen to while cutting hair?

I enjoy all types of music—from rock to rap and beyond. No specific preference, just good vibes.

What’s a fun fact about you that customers might not know?

I’m afraid of spiders 😂

Barbering & Haircuts

What’s your favorite haircut to do and why?

Mullet—I think it’s the most versatile hairstyle right now. There are so many ways to cut it, and it can suit almost anyone.

Are there any classic or trending styles you enjoy cutting the most?

I particularly love a nice side part and a slick back—classic, timeless, and stylish.

What’s one hairstyle you think is underrated and deserves more attention?

A classic haircut with a #3 on the back and sides, combined with texture on top. Sometimes, simple is the best way.

Customer Advice

What’s the #1 tip you’d give customers to keep their haircut fresh at home?

Everyone should have sea salt spray at home—it’s my must-have product! It’s easy to use, works for many styles, and can be paired with other products for different looks.

What’s a common mistake people make when styling their hair, and how can they fix it?

Not knowing how to use their products properly. Always ask your barber for advice on how to apply and layer products to get the best results.

Are there any must-have hair products you always recommend?

Once again, Sea Salt Spray is a must-have!

Just for Fun

If you could cut anyone’s hair (past or present), who would it be?

If I could choose anyone, I’d pick my grandfather—that would be a special memory.

What’s the most memorable or funniest moment you’ve had as a barber?

Definitely my first-ever haircut—what an experience! 😂
